I think you are severely underestimated the stamina required to fight in a medieval battle. Takes a lot out of you swinging that broadsword around, not to mention the variables you can't control like calvary charges towards you that you can't see, thousands of arrows falling out the sky etc.

I said hand-to-hand but I meant without weapons, like a 1-v-1 unarmed duel to the death. I wouldn't have a chance with an armed opponent who's been practicing for years.
