Well to be fair, I actually said I was uncertain what I would do, but more likely to call the cops than not depending entirely upon the circumstances. For example, where is the rape occurring? Has anyone seen me there? Is it somewhere I'm expected to be? All pretty important questions.
The wise thing to do would be to entirely avoid involvement, but that's not always possible.
