The piercings are for myself, not to try and look cool or attractive. I got them mainly as a teenager to substitute for self harm but they've been good conversation starters which has also helped with my anxiety (plus when people stare at me in public I can assume it's probably because my piercings and not because I'm sub5). It's fine if piercings aren't for you but I personally don't think I'm lame for having them.

I thank death for being the one who gives of a second chance for our misfortunes in former lives. I appreciate that I do not have to bear burdens forever. That is one of the few things for which I am greateful.
Death is terrifying, for I feel the nagging fear at the back of my psyche that I could come back as a foid or even uglier ethnic, but as long as my lifespan has a limit, I will not have to be stuck if I am injured forever, and I can rest until the end or get things over with early if the damage is truly severe.

Actually all of them do especially nose piercings they are essentially wounds and your body is always trying to heal it
And the fact that most people that get piercings are not right in the brain and aren't hygienic makes it even worse
During the healing process for a piercing the body creates a fistula (a healed, skin-lined tunnel). Once that tunnel matures, the piercing is no longer an open wound. So no they're not always wounds that your body is constantly trying to heal.

Fistula formation doesn’t mean the body stops treating it as a wound or tissue to maintain
A mature fistula still ongoes a collagen remodeling for as long as you have it
Also why a “healed” piercing will shrink and close up if you take out the piercings
Piercing holes shrink because your skin is naturally elastic and continually regenerates. The jewelry acts as structural support to keep the tissue separated. Once removed, the skin's natural tendency is to collapse in on itself and attempt to "heal" the wound, causing the channel to shrink or close over time.
as for the smell is it due to buildup of dead skin cells, natural body oils and bacteria trapped around the piercing.

depends if I'm in a depressive rut or not but I try to most days. More so trying to explain that piercings don't remain open wounds.
