Would realistic sex robots destroy civilization?

I was thinking a little bit about it. Many men engage in activities that require an enormous intellectual effort with the goal of improving their life someday. This improvement includes (the hope of) having sex with beautiful women. Think of all the currycel and ricecel nerds in IT/STEM fields. If the technology of the future would bring us a great substitute for sex, there would be little reason for men to engage in these extremely stressful types of work. Would that bring the end of civilizational advancement? Is this the reason why our elites are not worried about putting and end to the female monopoly of sex?

People would still want to make money through jobs and careers. Having a substitute for sex won't stop the drive to earn cash and be successful for people.

It would make women completely and utterly irrelevant.

They will literally beg to have their rights taken away from them and all be good housewives again, because without validation and attention their life is miserable and their existence pointless.

No not at all. Top of the line sex bots will be like buying a BMW or Ferrari. They won't last forever, there will be constant upgrades and new models. When the sex bot industry gets going it will be a huge motivator for many men. Ie. "I wanna get a good job so I can afford the new Stacy 3000 and not be stuck jerking off with my hand like some poor chump."

Women of course don't want to lose their power. But society won't collapse. Birth rates will drop further. Otherwise things will keep running as usual. I think men will be happier overall.

Women will become unhappier I think. I remain unconvinced women will accept a robot's affection in the same way men will.
