Serious World War One ended 107 years ago today

The flags on high' propaganda poster of Cental Powers in WW1 : r/europe

The good guys lost

RIP my country

we have been historically irrelevant ever since

Shout-out to Ernst Junger

Yo @Emba you got any WW1 stories?

I was going to make a similar post except to mention that the Brits used to buy and carry trench knives 100 years ago, but today can't even carry a locking 3" folding knife. Meanwhile, they allow in their ancient historical enemies, that are allowed to Carry whatever "cultural weapons" they choose to carry.

One of my ancestors died defending the Piave in 1918. RIP

One of my Irish Catholic relatives is buried in Gallipoli and another in France. The English thanked us in Northern Ireland by treating us as 2nd class citizens for decades after the war. Then they wonder why many young men joined the PIRA.

I have no clue if my ancestors even fought there kek

Might be yes but never checked that much in detail

At least women still didn't have rights when it happened!

A few of my relatives died at Ypres

I don't know any of my relatives who died in ww1, but my grandmothers brother got killed in WW2 when hip got sunk by the Germans.

He was 19 years old.
Poor boy didn't know who and what he was fighting for
