It always blows my mind just how ridiculously unequal the world was just a couple of decades ago. Like what even is that biggest bar in the 1960 graph, like 500-1000 PPP dollars? Those people were well below 10% of advanced world's per capita GDP, at purchasing power parity which is memed on for lowering the differences between countries, and that was how 50% of humanity lived not even a lifetime ago.
