After clocking out of work, I went to the liquor store to grab a twisted tea and this bitch who I would be looking at from time to time to troll(she’s KIND OF good looking) was taking long on purpose to ring up the woman before me’s order(I was gonna take a Creepshot of that woman had my phone storage not be so full)just so she wouldn’t have to ring my order. A guy ended up ringing my order. Shit really ruined my day. That’s why beginning in July I gotta ignore ALL these bitches. Foul disgusting ass creatures.

Ringing up means entering a customer’s items into a cash register or sales system and calculating the total price for payment. Ringing comes from older cash registers that made a ringing sound when a sale was entered. Depending on the register, the bell could ring when each item was entered or once when the cash drawer opened at the end of the transaction. The “ring” was usually a short, sharp metallic bell sound, similar to a “ding.” On many older mechanical cash registers, it sounded when the cash drawer opened, marking the completion of the sale.
It is a little sad that modern registers no longer ring. A silent screen may be efficient, but it has none of the cheerful “ding!” announcing that another order has officially entered the world.
