The statistical certainty is much smaller than a woman's looks. It can be debated if status would be a better predictor for men.
Sure, my examples are extreme, but they demonstrate a relatively common phenomenon. I can't tell you how many sub 5 CEOs, property owners, executives I have personally interacted with that were dating or married to (very) good looking women.
Likewise, I can also say that the dating site experiments are extreme. They are guys who are well above your high school chad in looks so they are not really representative for society at large.
