I’m beginning to feel like they’re this strange alien thing, like I live alongside them but do not and cannot interact with them.

I just walked into a restaurant and saw two young Stacies sitting together on the way in. I felt a moment of bewilderment, what are these weird animals that occupy the same space as I do? Why is this such a weird experience? Why can’t I interact with them at all?
