People want to ornament good looking people with what is physiologically implied by being beautiful. Even if they suck at stuff, people will grant contrived clemence to them as a testament to their dedication of magic over dour reality.
People will stop assuming what is legitimately there, and just what they want about good looking people, to shinelight them and darkmuddle the ugly. The ugly doing anything wrong just gives them an excuse to pull all their hate into that one pigeonhole.
Lookism is a virus because people naturally acclimate themselves to prejudices that make them feel more regal/ classy/ pedegreeable when they indulge in it. That's why people constantly shit talk things even though they're secretly enjoying it. Just to make them seem like they are on a higher plane of sophistication and thought with their tastes.
Women crave the magical feel from a physical implication over real ability.
