I know of several men (30s,40s,50s) who their wives are having relationships and sex with other men, while still living with their husband and kids in their home.
NO, it's not that the women have a green light, its just that the husbands are so defeated, depressed, tired, and hopeless, that they just begrudgingly let it go on and do nothing about it, because they know if they do anything, that they will lose their house, and they will no longer live with their kids, and they will have to have a huge life change. The men just accept that the women are going out and having relationships with different men, and so long as their wife comes home and is still "around" they don't do anything about it.
I wish I was exaggerating, but this is the current state of "marriages" now-days.
FYI: There are no "trad" laws in place here that say if a person is cheating, that they lose rights in a divorce. Here, you can cheat on your partner and if you get divorced, you have the same rights as if it was a "guilt-free" separation, if there are kids involved, the woman will still get first rights to the kids, and she will keep the house, or the house is sold and she gets 75%. It is a lose-lose situation for the man.
