I know of several men (30s,40s,50s) who their wives are having relationships and sex with other men, while still living with their husband and kids in their home.

Here, you can cheat on your partner and if you get divorced, you have the same rights as if it was a "guilt-free" separation, if there are kids involved, the woman will still get first rights to the kids, and she will keep the house, or the house is sold and she gets 75%. It is a lose-lose situation for the man.

In the USA (and Canada) divorce will kill you. You lose your home, half your wealth, and children. Then you have to pay child support and alimony, so you lose your income as well. Sometimes, alimony can last for 20+ years

When my parents divorced, my dad kept the house, kept all his money, he just had to pay child support. My mom got me and my sister, but only because we said we wanted to stay with my mom. We were like 6-8 years old back then.
