This might seem obvious to everyone else, or maybe not, idk, I just thought of it randomly. The main thing that females (of any species) look for in a male is whether they can take care of them or not, since females can not survive on their own in nature. We on the other hand need women for emotional (and also sexual) companionship. With women being able to earn money and fend for themselves, they have much less reason to look for a partner.

I do believe a collapse is inevitable, but I think things may get a bit worse before it happens. Right now, we’re likely nearing the peak of a bell curve: the predicament regarding dating will get worse before it starts going downhill at a rapid pace. The system we have now simply isn't sustainable in the long term. The imbalance between men and women, with only 20% of men having access to the majority of women, and on top of that a large group of dissatisfied men can’t hold up forever. So yes, I absolutely see a collapse coming it’s just a matter of when. Time will tell how soon it happens, but the trajectory we're on points clearly in that direction.

I don’t think women will ever have true financial independence, unless it’s all from bloat, make-work sinecure. It’s way easier to simply have sex with some guy In exchange for being provided for.
