It is an unshakable fact that comes from the nature of the matter that the female sex tends toward superficiality. This can be seen in all areas of life not only in dating. Women lack the ability to look beyond what is directly present and visible. They stick to the present, take the appearance of things as their true substance, and prefer small things over the most important matters. Reason is only given to them in a very limited way. For this reason, women remain children their whole lives. Their thoughts revolve around love, conquest, fashion, and dancing. They see this as their only serious duty, while household or professional tasks are only secondary to them, often even just fun. One could more rightly call the female sex the unaesthetic one. They have no real or true sense for the high arts such as music, poetry, or the fine arts. What interest they show is just showing off or copying to please Chads. Their sympathies are shallow. They relate to appearances, rather than spirit, soul or character. While the man, through his reason, considers the past and future, from which his caution and care arise, the woman is hardly touched by this due to her mental shortsightedness. She lacks the ability to hold onto abstract thoughts, fixed principles, or firm decisions when faced with the power of what is directly real. In matters of justice, honesty, and conscientiousness, they fall behind men, even if they often show more pity.
