Considering this is Reddit I’m genuinely shocked to see most of the top comments being based for this sort of scenario. It seems a metric ton of men relate to this scenario where at one point or another they’d do anything for the woman they love (and they have invested substantial resources into a relationship) only to have the woman leave them when they find an “upgrade” but keep stringing them along (probably for resources or as a fallback). It would seem that specific scenario is common as day.
Of course it’s split maybe 50/50 on people labeling the OP or anyone calling out women for how common this scenario is “incels” (it’s Reddit after all what can you expect), but I never expected to see this many men relating to that OP.
Now, I somehow doubt the current split will last, perhaps Reddit moderation will go in and “cleanup” the replies they don’t like, who knows.
As for the TLDR, man basically gives up everything for the woman he loves and they date for 6 years. Eventually the lack of sex becomes a sticking point (boy is that a common occurrence for betabux) and when the guy points it out the girl distances immediately (she probably already was from the sounds of it). Woman refuses to have a clean break, leads him on. Man is stupid to not see what’s actually happening but I can feel his pain.
