Best era by far. When games were actually good and exciting. Wish we could return.

I feel I was most excited during ps1 era because I was kid then.
7th generation was the last generation where exclusives were a thing. Now, Sony and Microsoft have come to the conclusion that it is more profitable to release 'exclusives' and, after a few months, port these games to PC
I'd rather have the 5th or 6th generation back tbh
It was probably exciting to experience 3d for the first time.
Personally I prefer 7th generation because you have easy access to the prior generation via backwards compatibility, while also having some of the best games ever like Mario Galaxy release

It was, even more so because I didn't own it until later. I played on nes/snes while my friend had ps1 and I couldn't get enough of it.
DS mogged that era imo
FO3 had pretty cool locations and overall more interesting than just a wasteland of FONV or niggercapital of FO4 but constant metro levels made it much worse especially with their writing style (FNV mogged).

lol yah it never looked as good to me. I haven't played it but that was partly because I checked out videos and it just didn't look that great to me. Cartoony and generic, I guess. Not to a really high degree but enough to put me off!

Fallout 3 and new Vegas are goated but you are doing yourself a disservice not playing fallout 4. I originally didn't like it, but when you get into it, customising weapons and bases n shit it's fun asf. I've never actually finished but it's fun.
People joke about FNV being glitchy but I've had far more crashes and game breaking bugs playing FO4 than New Vegaswhile everyone will forget about 4 and rightfully so
I don't want to emulator were not that advance and potato laptop PC gaming is dogshit unlike now where laptop CPU like Ryzen 5 2500u exist
