I don't think it works like that, there would just be less sperm if he was old. My parents were older too and I remember being ridiculed with comments like "is that your grandma?"
But It does work like that. The literal DNA of the sperm accumulates damage and mutations the older you are, and is even said to be linked to higher rates of miscarriage. That doesn’t seem far off considering my mother had a miscarriage before she eventually had me
I remember being ridiculed with comments like that too, except it was the opposite “is that your grandpa?”. It was fucking humiliating having to answer that question especially the reactions when I told them he was my dad
My dad wanted to abort me probably cause he knew they were tight on money, and actually, that would have been a better option. A bit unlucky that he didn't follow suit
