It's not really a prequel though is it it's a... I dunno. A reinterpretation or something. Because the original author didn't intend for the character to be this way.

Like Joker. I think that's a really good movie but it's not the way the character was originally envisioned I don't think.

It does definitely feel tedious because it means we can't just have malevolent characters anymore, which are needed as they're a part of life.

it got good reviews so i will watch it, i always watch movies that got good reviews to see if they’re good or not (i know that good reviews aren’t an indicator of how good a movie is). Sometimes i end up finding a gem that i really like despite the movie seeming like something i wouldn’t like.
