Rome: Long period of decline, continued under Byzantium
Classic Maya: Long period, shift away from lowlands
Russian Empire: Resolution of class antagonism, sublation into soviet union
Soviet Union: Dissolved, reversion into capitalism after decades of capitalistic elements were introduced

Brain dead replies thread, it's likely that we'll see a standard of life collapse in America that can make people more dangerous in public. I don't see us being nuked but I can see American falling from it's status as the global leader and reserve currency in my lifetime. How that will impact the U.S.A completely is something I can't fathom.
