India has 200 million deeply unhappy Muslims. They are now extra-pissed because a Hindu nationalist is in power and they enact policies against Islam. Muslims are poorer and have way more kids so they are growing and uneducated. Muslims chant for Pakistan and shout "death to India" at rallys. Saudi Arabia has been funneling billions into mosques which further radicalizes this minority population.
Now what if Pakistan/China starts training/arming these people and they just do an ISIS and grab as much Muslim areas as possible and declare they are now independent? The Indian army has to come in and conquer these places back, likely turning them into Syrian cities (destroyed).
