Women are also emotional masochists, though. And with a masochist, it's always hard to tell what "real" pain for them actually is.
But the competition for Chad is obviously brutal. When they all go for a minority of high-status men, most of them will obviously lose out sooner or later. This is where Jordan Peterson is right in that a deregulated capitalist free market sexuality will make both the majority of men as well as the majority of women unhappy. But "happy" and "unhappy" are more complicated categories when it comes to the female.
Men are wholesome and healthy in the sense that they try to increase happiness and decrease pain. So men normally go after their equal eventually. But women are emotional masochists. They are addicted to the pain they experience from competing for Chad, from being rejected, from having to wonder whether they are good enough or not, etc. They like the drama and the pain. Once you give them roses and play the guitar for them under the balcony, their interest fades away again. Women are just miserable creatures who make those around them miserable as well. This is why our forefathers basically just treated them like cattle ("Thou shalt not desire thy neighbor's oax, nor cattle nor sheep nor his women.") or, when they had a good day and the female was obedient, like children.
