I think it is due to what society has become. I always knew it was over between me and women, but then I got angry when I realized that there is no fucking where for me to have any kind of place in society. At least not working within the currently established framework. Supporting yourself takes more energy than it ever has before. Any hope in some kind of brighter future has largely been destroyed. Who can with any confidence believe the job they have today will guarantee any kind of employment in the future, much less raises or promotions. A fraction of a percent escape through luck like bitcoin and fleecing investors with vaporware start ups, but those waves have come and gone and mostly benefited those already ahead of the game.

What is there to even have a purpose for? All of society is corrupt, shallow and malevolent. Even charity is used as a political weapon to destroy your future. There is no more community for us to serve and connect with outside of these scant online watering holes. The internet is no sufficient replacement for these most basic of human needs.

The surest way is to establish and maintain social connections (good luck doing that as an ugly outcast), but even then most are bound to be overtaken by the younger and hungrier. At least with the internet there are things you can do where your looks don't matter (because it's over the internet).
