That's because men are far less likely to come out as depressed or tell their doctors they have suicidal thoughts. More often than not it's women who come out as suicidal and make a big deal out of it. Thus, it makes sense that your average attention-seeking Beckie would outnumber men regarding the sample sizes for these studies.

There are very good reasons why men don't come out as suicidal. It could ruin your life. If you report it to a therapist, you'll be thrown in a psych ward. Women like the attention so they have no issue with that. Men have too much to lose. Most men cannot easily find a job. Being thrown in a psych ward = unemployment.

An ugly man is probably not going to tell a therapist or a doctor he's suicidal. An ugly man will most likely just off himself when life's too hard to bare.

Also women are generally more emotional so they often mistake similar feelings as depression, they subconsciously stop themselves when they are about to do the deed though since it’s not anything genuine.

Back in my bluepilled days I felt very bad for depressed foids, because I knew what it felt like already at the age of 13-16, so I chatted with them and tried to cheer them up, make them feel heard. Then it turned out they were just temporarily sad because of their boyfriend or school or something their friends said, and the suicidal depression went away in a week. And this scenario just repeated itself over and over for me, each one I talked to was like this. Also, they never cared back or tried to at least performatively do so.
