Because there's a shift in societal thought: before, everyone was focused on family. Nowadays career is more important, to both women and men - in the former case it's because of feminism, and in the latter case it's because men are no longer intended to be the sole breadwinners of the family. Women no longer need to rely on men to have financial stability. This is as simple as I can explain it buddy boyo.

The economy. It was much simpler back then. Nowadays there's inflation, there's more money in the cash flow so money itself has become more worthless while everything else is getting more expensive. Now you need more money to make a decent living while you needed a lot less in the 1950s. Basically you can blame capitalism for this.

I think it's more because of the imminent risk of being breeded out when surrounded by hostile nations and that urgency translating to birth rates being kept up.

No country has 8 kids per couple on average, the highest is 7 in some African countries. The reason whites don't have kids is because they are degenerate. Even the incels here would rather be Chad and having casual sex with women as opposed to having kids, it is not that expensive to have kids in the west of you want to, one of my white neighbours has their 3rd child on their way and they are in their late 20s. If there is a will then they can do it.
