Whites on average are smarter than many other races because surviving in harsher and colder climates requires intelligence and innovation. The dumbos get weeded out. Also surviving in colder climates requires delayed gratification and the ability to create communities built on trust, which is why European societies are some of the most successful. Its the same thing in Asia, compare more northern asian countries like Japan, China and Korea to countries like Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines.
As for why whites are seen as more physically attractive, a lot of it has to do with height, but one could argue that the physical traits required to survive in colder climates are just seen as more attractive. But its all speculation honestly.
Funnily enough, also more northern asians are seen as more attractive than southern asians. Compare Koreans, Japanese and (Han) Chinese to Thai people, Vietnamese, Philippinos etc etc.
