Because they were raised in a different time where the blackpill was less in effect (of course it has always been a thing but it has only gotten worse through modernity) feminism and social media have inflated women’s ego and changed dating for the worse. Standards were a little more “fair” when they were younger. Now the lying could be pure ignorance or just not wanting to make you feel bad. They may not be trying to lie per say but could be insanely brainwashed or just completely oblivious.
