Why normies think that kids can't be evil?

If anyone suffered bullying as we did it would be self-evident, but even among so called Christians this is prevailing line of thinking.
For example once my grandad saved be from probably not being beaten up to death because this kid was kicking me without a mercy for swimming near him at the public swimming pool.

It's because they believe Children haven't achieved full consciousness yet, or don't understand the conseqences of their actions as they haven't experienced enough of the world. Similarly animals killing people isn't attributed to "cruelty" as they can't be held to be morally responsible. But I agree kids can be mean and downright nasty.
