Why is this world so fucking ... boring, tedious, difficult?

I dread wageslaving almost as much as cancer. And yet I'd be happy to wageslave if the world was more interesting.

Instead, nothing good or interesting happens in this world. Things are moving at a snail's pace. Imagine a world with giant leaps of technology every few years. A world where you wageslave but at least you can look forward to having great tech in a few years, like general AI, automated robots, true all senses immersed VR, intergalactic space travelling etc... Some of those are really hard to achieve but imagine a world where tech leaps 1/10 of that happened every few years.

Instead we have this shit world where good things barely ever happen. A world where everything moves in tiny increments. Slightly faster processors each year and shit like that. Even new technologies suck and are never as good as you had hoped, barely getting good in 20 years. It's all so fucking boring, incremental.

This world is hell, everything is so difficult. Forget about technology even, merely surviving in this world is an ordeal.

This. The world is incredibly boring and spiritually dead. No developments were made in the last years that really made a difference. Nothing is interesting anymore and you have to make up problems to keep yourself busy. There is nothing to discover, nothing to explore. Everything feels dull and uninteresting. The greatest developments/ideas were already given to the world and there is nothing more than stagnation and slow decay.

I like that analogy. To take it further, it's like we're in the alpha which is bugged as fuck and with a bunch of content missing. Difficulty is all messed up too, stuck on hardcore torment 16 difficulty.
