life is terrible in of itself. There are animals in the wild ripping one another apart and killing one another. beings surviving in a world they never asked to be in.

no they dont, you can live a good life with bad genetics but its impossible to live a good life with bad environment
because in life there are always the dregs who keep the world turning for the main characters. The kings of empires, the taylor swifts, the superstars who fly in private jets, and fuck models and sleep on piles of money and fly out to the amalfi coast for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of the busy shopping sprees in new york.

But bad development can ruin good genetics and turn great people into crap, while non deformed below average with really good development can become something really impressive. So, i think good genetics are needed to become truly top tier, but really bad development can ruin even such genes and downgrade them to unrecognizable levels.
