Is having bad social skills also a genetic defect?
It is hard to develop social skills when you are treated like an abomination in all of the social interactions you attempt.

your avi scare meIt is hard to develop social skills when you are treated like an abomination in all of the social interactions you attempt.
Social skills take practice. When no one wants to talk to you or spend time with you, they atrophy. At that point, it's impossible to develop good social skills because you aren't able to approach anyone and initiate/maintain interaction with them and no one wants to make an effort to get to know you.Is having bad social skills also a genetic defect?

Usually it goes like this. You are incel. You are either ugly or socially awkward/retarded or even both. This means you will get bullied or ignored by other people and branded as outcast by your peers. Over the years this badly damages your social skills and makes you even more socially awkward or retarded. Is having bad social skills also a genetic defect?

thisBecause we didn't have the skills to adapt to the real world so we found shelter on the internet. It allowed our social anxiety to go away. While it alleviated the pressure to talk in front of people not make a fool of yourself it caused you to miss out on a critical component to develop romantic connections with people. Coupled with poor social skills and below average looks creates the making of an incel.
I believe how your parents treat you when you are a baby and a child has massive consequences on your social skills/ how you interact with people
Partly. But it's even worse when people are shitting on you.Is having bad social skills also a genetic defect?
This. 100 percent fucking thisThey don't. It's just the failo effect of being ugly. Diagnosed autist like eggman and Ice poseidon get laid because they are tall and ice poseidon also has a prominent chin and nice jawline.

Basically this along with sub-par parentingIt is hard to develop social skills when you are treated like an abomination in all of the social interactions you attempt.

You can't build your social skills when you haven't had the chance.
Getting treated like shit tends to destroy any desire you have to interact with other people. It never gets any better but you start to accept that you're just a loner.
Not really a defect, I have Asperger's and despite being incel I have vastly superior intelligence. Decent tradeoff given i can just escortcel my way to victory with a 8/10+ when I start making six figures as an engineer
People only notice “bad social skills” when the person in question is a sub-8 man.
So our genes are to blame for the large part of our personalities, but environment has an effect too.Genetically informative research, including twin studies, suggest that heritability and environmental factors both influence all five factors to the same degree.[82]Among four recent twin studies, the mean percentage for heritability was calculated for each personality and it was concluded that heritability influenced the five factors broadly. The self-report measures were as follows: openness to experience was estimated to have a 57% genetic influence, extraversion 54%, conscientiousness 49%, neuroticism 48%, and agreeableness 42%.[83]
And there is this review, which shows that Prosocial Behavior, Empathy, Social Stress, Aggression, are all highly gene-linked.BACKGROUND:
Social cognitive skills are those which enable understanding of social situations; they are relevant to a variety of psychiatric disorders including autism, schizophrenia and externalizing behaviour problems in children.
RESULTS:
Male scores were higher than female scores (P < 0.001), indicating poorer social cognition among males. A heritability of 0.68 (95% CI 0.43-0.78) was found, with shared environmental influences accounting for only 0.05 of the variance (95% CI 0.00-0.28). This could be removed from the model without worsening the fit. There were no significant differences in genetic effects between the genders, but age-related changes were found, with younger twins showing greater genetic influence on social cognition.
CONCLUSIONS:
Social cognition appears to be under considerable genetic influence in the population and shows significant male-female differences. No gender differences in genetic influences on the variance of scores were found, but the effects of age were significant.
