Winning the six day war, and getting BTFO by Egypt during the Yom Kippur war where they lost Sinai.

Moving out all their settlers from Gaza in 2005 so that Bibi can fund Hamas to take over the strip in 2007. Causing them significant loses and an insane loss in global reputation.

Why didn't the Israeli government just send settlers to Gaza and slowly deport all the Gazans to Africa or Europe if they wanted to get rid of them that badly?
