Why is anime art style so good?

I'm not even a huge fan of anime but I have to admit I really like the art and character design. It's a good mix of cartooney and realistic which is why I think its so popular. You can have beautiful pieces of artwork in an anime style while also having goofy, cartoony pieces as well. Its also one of the few cartoon styles that can be sexually attractive tbh. Western art is fun but I'll never jerk off to it. I don't even watch anime really but I still jerk off to hentai. A lot of people like it so I know I'm not alone on this. It's also maybe the most incel art style out there since most anime artists I know are incel or are at least friends of incels.

the studios and designers put a lot more work into then western do. Just compare any piece of art from comix or kyo ani to western art and you will see what I mean. Compare the character work of studios like doga koba to any western studio. Compare the animation of ufotable to any fucking studio it’s like comparing gold to dirt.

western media could do around the same amount of quality work but they never have enough funding (a problem I know anime has as well but the West seems to have a bigger problem with it, especially if its not a big company)

if you want something mature watch Kara no Kyoukai / The Garden of sinners it’s the anime from the first clip. It’s fucking amazing and the sound track I still listen to after 10 years. I like the themes in it much more than fate.
