I'll add that the ways in which women act in public has changed a lot just in the last few years. A long time ago, women would treat all men, even the ugly ones, with respect despite never wanting to date them. It was just common courtesy.
This changed as the millennium approached, but even as late as a decade ago most women would still acknowledge and be friendly towards normies.
Now, in 2018, it's totally standard for all women 3/10 or greater to treat non-Chads like they don't even exist.
