Firstly, the idea that people they view in disgust (like a wild animal) having legit criticisms about them makes them feel uncomfortable. They're reminded that we're also human with feelings and they feel like we're trying to make them feel guilty for treating us like shit. They don't wanna feel any responsibility for their actions but struggle as incels call them out for it, so they'll attack incels instead.
Secondly, people usually treat foids nicely and perceive them as good people (women are wonderful effect). Foids relish in this and actually convince themselves that it's true. But guess who's seen their other side that they hide from people? That right, people like incels. They've been exposed to how foids treat them for getting the short end of the stick with looks. And none of this occurs to them until incels form an entire community that talks about how shittily foids have treated them, along with other criticisms.
