While most men of sound mind (myself included) can agree that the current of iteration of feminism is its worst one yet, there is a common misconception that the movement once stood for equality. "Feminism, was never about tearing men down, it was about working with men to create a system that benefits both genders!" However, that is simply not true. Feminism has been deeply rooted in misandry since very conception.
The Declaration of Sentiments, a document signed in 1848 during the first women's rights convention, has this to say about men.
"The history of mankind is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations on the part of man toward woman, having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over her."
What reason have any of us to, in good conscience, support a movement that sees us as little more than oppressors to be deposed?
What many also do not know is that first-wave feminism (the kind is that is most often cited as having been "just") is directly linked to multiple acts of terrorism.

Assault, property damage, arson, bombings—there are few crimes these women did not stoop to in pursuit of achieving "equality."
While it could be argued that the actions of a few violent extremists should not reflect on an entire group of people, incels are never offered the same clemency. What is that quote that r/inceltears enjoys using constantly? Ah, yes, "If there's a Nazi at the table and ten other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with eleven Nazis." Using that logic, does that not also make anyone who identifies as a feminist a proponent of terrorism?
Something else first-wave feminism is known for is being at the forefront of the White Feather Movement.

For the uninitiated, this was a propaganda campaign organized by the United Kingdom government during World War 1. Suffragettes would hand white feathers (The color white, in this context, being associated with cowardice) to men in order to shame them into enlisting. One would think that a movement that claims to rooted in equality would use the war as an entry point for discussion on how women should also be allowed to participate in combat roles—however, they were perfectly willing to send men, and only men, off to die in the trenches.
Keep in mind that the men harrassed by them also included war veterans who had come home after suffering severe injuries.
Violent, hateful, and/or dehumanizing quotes from celebrated feminist figures:
"The proportion of men must be reduced to and maintained at approximately 10% of the human race"
This quote is attributed to Sally Miller Gearhart, a prominent feminist author who is credited for creating and introducing the "Women's Studies" course to schools.
No, the "She was only joking!" excuse does not apply here. If you skim through her wikipedia page, this is what it has to say about her views.

Gearhart argues that it is by women's own capacity for reproduction that the ratio of men to women can be changed though the technologies of cloning or ovular merging, both of which would only produce female births. She argues that as women take advantage of these reproductive technologies, the sex ratio would change over generations.
Is this not a form of genocide?
"To call a man an animal is to flatter him; he’s a machine, a walking dildo."
This is a quote from Valerie Solanas, feminist writer and attempted murderer.

"I want to see a man beaten to a bloody pulp with a high-heel shoved in his mouth, like an apple in the mouth of a pig."
Andrea Dworkin, another profilic feminist author whose works are still being analyzed to this day, included this in one of her novels.

While the novel itself is a work of fiction, the quote is used as a rallying cry by modern feminists.

This was said by Robin Morgan, key member of the American Women's Movement who was honored one of the most influential feminist figures of the 21st century by the BBC.

In her writings, she directly compares feminism to a class war, citing men as the "oppressors."

While feminists believe that misogyny should be labeled a "hate crime" they do not feel the same about misandry.

Any man who willingly sides with feminism is not unlike a sheep siding with the wolf that openly aims to devour it.

Feminism has a right to anger - The Maneater
Last week, I wrote [a column on some popular misconceptions of feminism](https://www.themaneater.com/stories/2013/11/6/misunderstandings-feminism-impede-social-progress/), and in response to the piece, someone commented with an argument I hadn’t quite been addressing. The following statement was...
