5'9 is still below the 50th percentile, and being 5'9 does make you the lowest you could consider average heighted. I do live in a middle class area, so being 5'9 is definitely on the shorter end of the scale. I see so many 5'11+ guys around me. However, go to a poorer area and the height of even white males is definitely more 5'9-5'10, and I actually think my generation is shorter due to more poverty.
However, so many toilets here still put shit like 'tall guys only' or '6ft or above'. They have no time for even above average face, medium heighted guys.
