Why don't ethnics swim?

So I was at the boardwalk yesterday walking around with some coworkers and we walked by the Lifeguard Building. They must have been on lunch break because I saw about 30,6 foot tall, massive lat, massive armed, aviator shades, white chads in red shorts.

It was also hilarious because the amount of women on the boardwalk also skyrocketed at this location.

I'm curious, why is the ethnic community not present when it comes to lifeguarding?

I say this as a 24 year old black man who is a very weak swimmer.

I am white and I can't tread water, I had to wear arm floaters as a 12 year old, I haven't been in a pool in 15 years, drowning is certainly an option rather than roping
