I got a dog. I thought I would be a cat person, but I don't really get cats and something about the unconditional love from a dog just gets me through the day. It's nice to be needed by some sort of life. It also helps to get me motivated to exercise since I have to take him out every day. Otherwise I would just rot inside my apartment.
