Discussion why does it kinda suck to be average?

i've always known this intuitively, but have never been able to express it in words.

well i know for fact, and i've lived it that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, but i also knew that being dead average, right in the middle, being just another average joe when there are plenty in the world sucks too.

i think that the IQ bell curve meme is an example for sure . the low IQ's and the high IQ's are genius and have it all figured out, while the masses in the middle (average IQ's/midwits) are confused and making simple things complicated

there's nothing wrong with average IQ, it's just that, average. The problem is when these average IQs pretend they are actually elite geniuses and they start to overcomplicate simple things. AKA midwittery
Stupid person --> Too lowIQ and can only see things as they are. Defaults to the easiest/simplest option
Midwit --> Can't accept that it's really that simple, there *must* be some underlying factor
Genius --> Sees past all the lies, knows that the simplest solution is almost always the correct one
