Why does God allow bad things to happen?

When we say God is all powerful, that doesn't mean everything that happens is God's will. He chose to limit his power by creating us with a free will.

If God were to intervene every time there was evil and suffering in the world, then none of us would have free will. If God were to intervene on the evil in this world, then why are we still here to this day.

Its allowed suffering because we allow suffering


Its allowed evil because we did not reach the end yet...



But at one time, you guys will.

Yes, of course. He is only capable of doing good.


No. Human free will has lead to the world being as un-godly as it is now, but doesn't determine everything that will happen.
The Bible teaches that God remains sovereign over creation. Meaning God has the ultimate authority over everything that happens.


Yes. In todays time we can see God still performing miracles, answering prayers, etc.
But after Jesus Christ the bible mentions about many others, such as sending the Holy Spirit at pentecost.

I would say it wasnt human free will who did that



It was disobedience, not free will



Disobedience is not a choice when you know its bad.




I still believe, that if they did not eated that fruit, the result would be much better, even if there was no conflict between good and evil.
