I think it might have something to do with the fact curries are one of the largest sources of english speaking migrants (or at least try to learn to speak it) in the world. That combined with how they're willing to work for low wages.

Methinks it's that they're english speaking, they're possibly wealthy/educated enough to migrate, and there could be an ingroup preference from Indian migration officials. They certainly do good numbers when it comes to income - that is until the student visas started printing at a higher and higher pace in recent years

They're easier to control, less likely to randomly chimp out, and they'll work for low wages, which is why people are complaining about them stealing all the jobs.
