For a couple specific engineering and software dev jobs yes, but there's stuff that exists outside of engineering and cs. Philosophy, history, high level mathematics, and such are all very much still male-dominated fields. Obviously you can attribute this to a number of different things, but the fact is that there are still fields that are a lot harder to enter when female. I know someone's gonna come at me with the "but men are logical and women are emotional" thing but there's no conclusive research on the actual differences between the male and female brain. Obviously this all applies to men too though. There are a ton of women-dominated fields like psychology and nursing that a lot of men avoid because of stereotyping. Also men tend to "gatekeep" more in regards to these sorts of things so in that aspect it actually is harder for women.
