I agree, gaming laptops are ass. I have a framework laptop, while it does not have the latest “gayman” gpu and cpu it’s built well and stable. Price was steep though, but at least its fixable.

A thinkpad is a laptop. It's basically just a generic laptop model line that is over-romaticised. Some people think their cool for using it because its counter ( but still main-soy-stream ) culture

Others just see other people hyping it up and then just buying it because not everyone is technical so it's a safe bet to just buy the mainstream model lines that are the flagships from a reputable company
