I don't see any contradictions here. The Soviet Red Army was shit. Positions in the Red army were given in many ways before the war solely on the basis of: the correct origin, which should have been worker-peasant, and Stalin's personal political loyalty. About 30% of the command staff was destroyed from 1937 to 1938. The Soviet army suffered from a lack of morale, so during Barbarossa, soldiers surrendered en masse to the Germans, as they did not want to defend the Stalinist regime, which tortured everyone with repression or collectivization, when farms were forcibly united into collective farms, and all the farmers' property was transferred to the collective farm. The Red Army would have lost if the British and the United States had remained neutral and not supplied weapons and food to the USSR.

The only reason for the victory of the Red Army is the total numerical superiority in manpower.

Americans saved them with their resources and especially transport trucks and spare tanks/planes. Ruskies are extremely ungrateful and downplay American leading role of their victory, they just say it helped but not much and they couldn't be more wrong.

True, even Stalin constantly demanded the opening of a second front, he literally said this at every meeting with the ambassadors, Roosevelt and Churchill, that the USSR needed a Second front in Europe to pull German troops from east to west.

As far as I read in historical books, by the end of 1942, Stalin was already ready to conclude a peace treaty with Hitler and give him the Baltic States, Ukraine, and Belarus in full, provided the war ended. Stalin literally sat in his dacha for three days after Operation Barbarossa, how shocked he was by this, by how quickly the Germans were moving towards Moscow, and the Soviet soldiers were surrendering. Molotov, not Stalin, addressed the Soviet population on the first day of the war. Because Stalin had locked himself in the country and did not want anyone to bother him.

Except he invaded them in summer of 1941 but failed completely to finish his blitzkrieg fast and was not prepared for the winter (horses were delicious)

They had but also Soviets made KV-1 and T-34 and were raping Germans for many months till they finally made a better cannons for PZ3J1 and PZ4 F2/G. Panther was pretty good but breaking too often, while Tiger was not only breaking often but way too costly to develop and crews once taken out would be a great hit to your army, while soviets were just spamming more T-34-85s and Is-2
