The thing about normie NPCs is that their mind is very different from ours, so they're hard to comprehend sometimes. To them, disagreeing with society is unfathomable, it'd be like you disagreeing with yourself, which is just not possible. Because they're one with the hive mind.

They can have "unpopular" opinions like for example some corporation isn't woke enough and should push LGBT more, or stuff like that, but always within the limits that the media sets for them. They absolutely can't think outside of that, because to them that's just wrong.
