Why do people not want to unify religion like they did with races in society?

How do you think this would work ? Unifying completely opposite and opposed believe system don't work, especially if those Religions prohibit the worship of other deities or concepts. The ones unifying races are also subjugated to believes, Rituals and religions, so this adds another layer.

Its easier to play all of them out against eachother so they can continue to run their shady satanic business and institute a new world Religion.
