My schizo theory is that they are a bioengineered alien hybrid species designed to combine all races/cultures on earth into one particular culture and bring earth into a gigacucked libshit interstellar alliance that has no humor. My take on that is the they/them mindset. A worm doesn't have a gender, they mate but reproduce asexually. So what if worms could talk? Maybe on another planet there's species that don't have a gender, so what are they called if they're addressed in conversation?
