I see a normie was banned not long ago for this. But why bother? According to them being an incel is the worst thing you could be, so why pretend to be one of us?

We don't really have any normies here to ask, so getting a genuine perspective may be difficult.
If I had to guess, I'd suspect it's a certain form of twisted fascination they harbor for us.
Low-tier normies 4-5/10 are today effectively incels. They might score something once every three years but the amount of effort and trying is just not worth it. They are additionally aspie mentalcels and feel like they are denied sexual/romantic affection and get radicalized.
They are not pretending, they are incels, they just don't realize they are. Anyone who manage to come to a forum like this can't be anything other than an incel. Most of the things in the world are pretty obvious and simple to explain.
I don't think they're saying being incel is the worst thing you can be. If you look at the appeals of the people who get banned for not being incel enough, they're always saying that, despite how they maybe don't fit the whole bill, they still care about the plight and even identify with some of the struggle. They're not pretending. They're hurting like we are. It's just they're hurting for reasons that aren't as severe as ours.
We're hurting because we have nothing and no one. They're hurting because maybe they're going through a dry spell. But from their perspective, the pain they feel is the same. I'm not saying they're just as bad off, I'm saying you take away privilege even for a moment, and that hurts people.

I saw a thread yesterday in the Meta section where a banned user asked @SergeantIncel about why he was banned and SeargeantIncel linked a thread explaining that keeping this forum for incels only would be impossible so the rules states that it´s allowed for blackpilled normies to be members on this site but the catch is they can´t talk about past experiences (bragging) because since it´s an incel forum it´s important that we can´t distinguish who is or isn´t an incel.
@SergeantIncel I hope this was a pretty accurate description of it and I can´t find the thread I was talking about but you could maybe link the rules of what I was talking about to this thread since I think it answers OP´s question, unless of course he has examples of normies coming up with stories if that is the case that would just be LARPING.

Yes thats the one I had in mind, but I admit I did not know much about him, just assumed he claimed to be incel since this seems to be an incel dominated site. But it is impossible for this site to be for ONLY incels as its hard to tell who is and isn't incel, so I assume there is some here who pretend. I wouldn't put it past normies to come here and pretend to be incels just because they are a little depressed and going through a dry spell.

A prime example of this is George Sodini he had sex and a relationship when he was younger and after not being able to get a girlfriend for over a decade (almost 2 decades if I remember correctly) he went "ER" I personally consider him an incel I mean where is the limit really? Incel means involuntary celibate so technically if you try and fail it´s involuntarily that you are celibate because you want sex but can´t because you will get rejected where as females don´t have this problem they can just text a stranger on Facebook and have sex or ask a random guy on the street and they will never be rejected. So some might think GS (George Sodini) wasn´t an incel because he have had sex almost 20 years before he went ER but I think he was because it was involuntarily that he couldn´t obtain sex or a relationship thus making him involentarily celibate i.e. incel.
Was he a truecel? Of course not anyone who have had sex or even kissed a girl or gotten any sort of physical affection from a girl obviously isn´t a truecel.

Good point. I mean that is what Incel means by definition. I can definitely see now why blackpilled normies are allowed here, but I'm sure some may disagree with me.
