It works well to keep people blind to the harsh realities of this world. Even animal documentaries are painting the wrong picture with so much censorship and disney tier storytelling.

I heard that there was a time when news channel would be fine with showing gore publicly but somewhere around the late 2010's they stopped doing that for some reason. even your average spongebob episode is less kid friendly than any news channel
