Why do most men downplay how devastating balding is?

I've seen men in my family go bald over the past 10 years. I've seen how their own moms treat them, and they visibly showed disgust. I've seen how little kids in the family looked at them.


You look worse than an aids patient (who keeps his hair). Bald looks sickly and cancerous as fuck.

Yet most men (red pill types) say "it's not big deal bro. just lift and shave it". Look at youtubers who are balding. They're always wearing hats or hiding their upper head.

I can't think of many things worse in life than balding. Especially balding while being under 40.
