Why do Chinese students self segregate and are so bad at group projects?

In my uni there are some Chinese students and sometimes I had the bad luck of having to do a group project with them. I hate group projects too but at least I put effort and try to finish it as soon as possible to have more free time, but with ricecels it's impossible since they ignore the e-mails or just replay "okay thanks" but never do any of the work, or they self segregate and only talk to fellow Chinese students in Chinese Luckily teachers are aware of this so when I e-mail them that I did the project alone or that some ppl in my group didn't contribute they tell me not to worry and that they will fail them but not me.

Countries like China don't put as much emphasis on multiculturalism and interacting with people of other ethnicities to seem more "open minded" as in countries like the US and UK.

Native rice males are also less likely to feel shame sticking in their own groups with people that look like them. It's a recent liberal US/UK theme that you should deliberately encourage interaction between people of different ethnicities whenever possible.

I’m pretty sure it’s human nature. In my school people normally only hung out with people of their own races. Each clique would only have one race. Sure there were times that some races mixed like Asians and Indians or niggers and spics but they are already culturally similar. Asians and Indians always study and niggers/spics are delinquent thugs.

The white people almost never hung out with anyone who was ethnic. But I might have been an exception because I was actually friends with a bunch of white guys along with another currycel for a while.

Obviously not the central prairie provinces but cities like Ontario and British Columbia are the multicultural areas.

The rest of southern Canada seems like mostly white Anglos and French while the northern parts near the Arctic have shorter, brown skinned Inuits. Imo if you can stand the cold the northern part would have way less mogging than the southern part. But you'd have to be self sufficient to survive well.
